I then again insisted that we ought to keep our mouth closed for a while and just never come up with a comment but when he tried to make one more comment which presents criticsms about how other folks responded on his statement, I guess he was dead improper for it.Upholstery Cleaning lacrescentahttp://carpetcleaninglacrescenta.com/upholstery-cleaning-lacrescenta.phpnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3291336326341778651.post-66248671218644013002011-05-11T03:24:27.794-04:002011-05-11T03:24:27.794-04:00why we pay more to teachers who have been there lo...why we pay more to teachers who have been there longer..! I think my fundamental worry about it is simply that as a principal, I won't be able to do it well. I hate to speak for other principals, but I do my job relatively well, and I have trouble thinking about doing that well. That all being said, I also worry about this dominating policy conversations for the next decades and not having the desired outcome on student learning that was hoped. But yes, to your point, time in the job should not be the only way to get more money.Matt Landahlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01249775480280060904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3291336326341778651.post-21301764441990601672010-01-18T16:38:05.285-05:002010-01-18T16:38:05.285-05:00Conversations on merit pay always make me wonder w...Conversations on merit pay always make me wonder why we pay more to teachers who have been there longer. Or to administrators. Or to superintendents.

I don't say this to be flip, but how do those criticisms of merit pay that are legitimate in the first place become illegitimate when directed at teachers with experience, or when directed at school employees who are not in the classroom?Sterlacehttp://whenfallsthecoliseum.com/about/jason-sterlace/noreply@blogger.com
